Lang is so much more than a school for our family. It is a community of parents, peers, teachers, and administrators that have given our son an environment where he can thrive. After struggling in three different schools before finding Lang, our son had lost so much of the incredible person he was. At Lang, he is able to be celebrated for the awesome kid he is. He is supported in his challenges and knows he has a team that will always be there to encourage him not to give up. Socially, we have seen him thrive. We went from never being included in birthday parties, play dates or get togethers to being a part of a community where we felt welcomed on day one. Finding Lang has been life changing for our son and we can only imagine what he's capable of with this team behind him.

Jimmy captured the magic of our community perfectly when he described Lang as "a unicorn." In this rare and special environment, every student learns that being unique and having special quirks and talents is a blessing. We lean into these quirks and talents and encourage each student to shine as their authentic self.
The spirit of Lang is evident in the way our students connect and create lifelong friendships. High school students bond together, supporting one another in their academic pursuits and everyday life. High school and middle school students come together through activities such as Dungeons & Dragons, electives, specials, and school showcases, where they learn from and lean on each other. In lower school, students form strong connections during KidWorks and recess—whether they are playing football, sewing, crafting, or making videos, these young learners share their passions and build best friendships for life. At Lang, kids learn early on that it is okay to be themselves.
Partnership is at the core of what we do. Lang staff and parents work side by side, communicating regularly through emails, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings to share what is happening at home and in school. This collaborative approach unifies our efforts to support each student, reinforcing their individualized plans and the structures designed to support them.
