Caroline Blasco
Director of Lower School
LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY - BA
FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY - MA, SYC
As the Director of the Lower School at Lang, I bring a deep passion for nurturing and supporting our young twice-exceptional students. Every day in this role is unique, as it is filled with new opportunities to engage with Lang students, staff and families. My background as a school psychologist allows me to connect and support our dynamic lower school students, helping them feel genuinely understood and equipped to overcome life's challenges. Working with 2E students is particularly rewarding for me, as I love finding creative ways to help them thrive in their learning, build self-confidence, and develop meaningful relationships with others. Before transitioning to K-12 education, I supported international students preparing to study in the U.S., a role that involved extensive global travel and inspired my shift to working directly with students in the K-12 school setting. Outside of Lang, I enjoy traveling, skiing, gardening, & taking my dog Reny for walks around Brooklyn. Most of all, I love spending time with my family in Hawaii & Maine.
