I am excited to join the Lang School as the School Social Worker. I am a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor with years of experience in providing therapeutic interventions and support to individuals, families, and adolescents. With a strong background in behavioral management, treatment planning, and group therapy, I excel in creating and executing successful therapeutic relationships and environments.
I received my Bachelors in Psychology, and Masters in Counseling from Hampton University in Hampton Virginia. After relocating back home to New York, I received an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health counseling from Alfred University.
Prior to joining Lang, I served as a Behavior Intervention Specialist working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnosis under the auspices of the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities. I also have experience conducting clinical intake screenings, and developing personalized treatment plans, in both the private practice setting and city agencies such as the Administration for Children’s Services. I have also served as a volunteer for AmeriCorps Vista to increase social-emotional engagement in elementary and middle schools.
I am passionate about staying current with the latest trends and best practices in mental health, ensuring that all students receive the highest level of quality care. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, learning about different cultures, nature walks, spending time with my family, and visiting museums.
